The 2010 Honda Insight: Miami's ticket to an Eco-Friendly Vehicle

When Honda corporate decided on designing its 2010 Honda Insight, they aimed at using the best and most cost effective hybrid technology. Eco-friendly cars are becoming more and more popular in Miami. The 2010 Honda Insight is a compact car that goes for less then $20,000 and does 40 mpg. The Insight has racked up independent real-world highway fuel economy tests above 60 miles to the gallon. Honda designed the shape of the 2010 Insight as a mix between a Hybrid and an electric vehicle: a five-door hatchback with a smooth front and a high, abrupt tail. The 2010 Honda Insight also comes equipped with an ECON mode that enhances fuel economy further by resetting the control logic, so the car accelerates more slowly and backs off the gas engine quicker. Standard safety features on all Insights include dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags; front-side airbags with a passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS); side curtain airbag system; anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution (EBD); driver- and front-passenger active head restraints and a front body designed to mitigate pedestrian injuries.
